John Barry has a Masters Degree in Health Psychology from the University of Westminster, where he is also a visiting lecturer. John has an honours degree in Social Psychology from the University of Sussex. He trained in counselling at Sussex and with Cruse before studying hypnotherapy, for which he now holds a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from the Psychotherapy and Hypnosis Training Association, and a Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. John has also taught a 20-week evening class on Self-hypnosis and NLP, Parts I & II at Merton Adult College. He is fully insured, and a member of both the British Institute of Hypnotherapy and the British Psychological Society.
John is currently working with City University and the NHS for his PhD training in psychological aspects of a medical condition. One of the goals is to devise a stress management programme tailored to helping people with this condition.
